SPONSOR INTERVIEW

Kevin Perrottet, BSS Solution Manager, Comarch

Please tell us your name, job title, a bit about your company and your role.

Kevin Perrottet, BSS Solution Manager. I help our customers build tailored BSS solutions by leveraging our BSS modules, organizing architecture and system integrations, and supporting them with data migration strategies and overall BSS transformation.

What innovative new trend or technology is particularly interesting for you currently?

A particularly exciting trend for me right now is 5G direct-to-cell technology, which has the potential to transform the telecommunications landscape in profound ways. Beyond just personal convenience; it can enable critical communications during emergencies, facilitate the growth of IoT by connecting devices across vast distances, and open new possibilities for industries like logistics, agriculture, and healthcare that rely on consistent connectivity. The rise of 5G direct-to-cell technology poses a significant challenge for traditional network operators, as they now face new competition from satellite providers capable of delivering coverage in areas previously dependent on terrestrial networks, and they need to be ready to face it.

What solutions will you be showcasing at Space Tech Expo Europe and why should attendees visit your stand?

We’ll be showcasing our cutting-edge SatCom solutions, built on proven telecom standards for BSS and OSS. With over 30 years of experience delivering solutions for a wide range of operators, our technology is designed to seamlessly support satellite communications and the broader satellite business. Attendees should visit our stand to see how our adaptable, field-tested solutions can meet the evolving needs of the SatCom industry, offering robust support for business operations, system integration, and growth in the rapidly expanding space sector.

If you could travel anywhere into space, without the restrictions of time and resources, where would you go, how will you travel there, and why?

Metis, one of Jupiter's inner moons. Metis orbits incredibly close to the massive gas giant, providing a front-row seat to Jupiter's mesmerizing Great Red Spot. From the surface of Metis, the view would be awe-inspiring: Jupiter's majestic rings would stretch across the sky like ribbons of stardust, casting a soft glow that illuminates the dark expanse. Watching Jupiter's swirling clouds and storms up close, while the rings arc above, would be an experience beyond imagination.
